When Fate throws him an itty, bitty human as a mate, he refuses to have anything to do with her.
As the attraction between them grows Aleks realises that he can’t seem to stay away from the tiny dark-haired human, but the realisation may come too late, as he faces the fact that though her body was never in any danger, he may have shattered her heart.
He wonders if she will be safe with him and she wonders if she will ever be what he he truly wants.
In the end they will both see that Fate Knows Best.
